How we check
An AI Colorado certificate says one thing: this person can direct AI across the real work of a job. Here is exactly how we check that, and what the certificate does and does not mean.
A certificate is a whole program, not a quiz
Each occupation is broken into modules, one per skill area of the job. To earn the certificate you complete every module. Miss one and there is no certificate. We would rather tell you that than hand out a thin one.
Every module is a graded check on real tasks
A module is not multiple choice. You direct AI through the actual tasks of the job and produce real work. An AI evaluator grades that work against a rubric written for the task, and the module only counts as passed when your work clears the bar. The check looks at your judgment (how you steer, correct, and use AI), not whether you can recite an answer.
Some certificates go further: transfer checks and a peer review
The strongest certificates add two things. After each module you take a transfer check: a brand new situation, not the one you practiced, that you have to handle from scratch. And the final project is read by a real person, not just the AI evaluator. When a certificate was earned this way, its public page says so.
It is graded by AI, and we are honest about that
The evaluator is an AI model, the same kind of tool the work is about. It is consistent and it is fast, and it is not a human examiner or an accrediting body. That is why the certificate is scoped to exactly what we can check here: demonstrated skill directing AI across a job's tasks.
What it is not
An AI Colorado certificate is not a license, a degree, or a government or school credential. It does not authorize you to practice a regulated profession. It is a record of what you demonstrated on this platform, nothing more and nothing less.
Anyone can verify it
Every certificate has a public link and a certificate ID. Anyone can open it and see the holder, the modules they passed, and the date it was issued, no account required. If a certificate is ever revoked, that page says so.
